  • When you purchase Kindle Candle Company products, you are getting 100% chemical-free, coconut wax + beeswax candles that are free of paraffins and phthalates and anything synthetic. Our candles are thoughtfully scented only with pure essential oils and are carefully blended with coconut wax. So, buy and burn with confidence – we’ve taken all the guess work out of it for you. 

  • Most other candles are scented with fragrance oils.  Candles that claim to be “non-toxic” “all natural,” “pure soy” and “phthalates-free” are not chemical-free if they’re scented with fragrance oils. Most are, so check your labels. These oils, while cost effective and fragrant, are synthetic (not plant-based) and therefore not natural. They release potentially hazardous unlisted chemicals (toxins) into the air you breathe. 

  • Kindle Candle Company uses only pure botanical essential oils* in our products. Eliminating fragrance oils and sourcing pure essential oils for our products may mean our candles cost a little more, but we feel strongly that by taking this leap and removing anything not plant-based from our products is in the best interest of our family and yours. 

  • Kindle Candle Company exclusively uses a coconut wax blend in making our candles. We care about how our product is sourced and its effects on our health and the environment. Soy is a GMO crop heavily sprayed with toxic chemicals, many linked to agricultural giant Monsanto (now Bayer).   

  • In addition to being GMO-free, coconut wax also burns cleaner and longer and is more sustainable and renewable than soy.

  • Kindle Candle Company is proud to have a plastic-free production and distribution process. We’re committed to taking extra steps to reduce our environmental footprint in any way we can. We swapped out our perfectly pretty plastic tealights for aluminum. Quality aluminum containers were difficult to source, and some are imperfect, but they’re not plastic. Samples are now sent in small paper sacks instead of plastic pouches. We switched to a plastic-free packaging and shipping process. Shipping boxes are recyclable, and some may even be reused. Our product wrapping and packing is done with craft paper, not bubble wrap, and all of it is recyclable and without hassle. Even the shipping tape that seals our boxes is plastic-free recyclable paper tape.  

  • Our glass jars and gold travel tins can be recycled. And if you live in Atlanta, we always welcome returns on our vintage vessels for a discount. Just reach out.

CANDLE CARE + TIPS

Your initial burn is very important to how your candle will behave for each consecutive use. Once you light your candle, you should keep it lit until it achieves a full melt wax pool (meaning that the entire surface of your candle should be in liquid form) before extinguishing, which is approximately around an hour for our 4oz and 2 hours for the 9oz candles. If this doesn't occur, your candle will develop a "burn tunnel" and will not burn correctly. That can and will significantly cut down on its lifespan.

• Trim your wick to 1/4" each time before lighting
• Pinch off burnt mushroom wick top to prevent flame from becoming too large
• Burn candles only on level fire resistant surfaces, away from drafts + flammable items
• Do not leave burning candles unattended
• Do not let your candle burn for more than 4 hours at a time

Rinse and wipe your jar clean to reuse + repurpose as a plant holder or any clever container.

Domestic orders placed within the US are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. On special occasions or per customer request, we may ship via FedEx.

Orders over $75 qualify for FREE SHIPPING.

Orders typically ship within 3 days once order is placed + paid. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an e-mail notification with all tracking information. 

Please be aware that Kindle Candle Co. is not responsible for delayed transit times once your order leaves the studio. We have no control over transit times once packages are given to the mail carrier. Should your package become delayed or lost, a claim will need to be filed with the shipping carrier.
